Extra room in the toe box and a closer fit in the heel fixes the problems I had with the 2140. I recommend a half-size larger if you do long distances to allow for swelling feet (maybe one size larger for some). Good socks are a must, as for any shoe. The laces are flat and stay tied unlike the round laces on the 2140. The sole is sufficiently padded for the road and the support is good for the trail--a good all-around shoe. Many shoes that are "good for both trail and road" are actually so-so for both. I plan to buy another pair to alternate with.See all 22 customer reviews...
