I'm not the only one who finds this to be the case. The forefront of the shoe bends into the foot, and I cannot image that any amount of breaking in will solve the problem. I have run about 250 miles so far on my current pair of Gel-Pulse 2. Very little wear so far. The sole is sturdy and keeps its form for quite awhile. I highly prefer ASICS as its the only shoe brand I've run with that I'm not prone to injuries. This is my 5th pair of ASICS (also used the gel cumulus and gel nimbus in the past). I have been running on Asic's premium shoe, the Gel-Kayano series, for about 5 years now, and decided to "downgrade" to the GT series after my last pair of Kayanos didn't last very long. I know these aren't supposed to be the best of the best but I thought they'd be a nice compromise of price and function. They were cheap but have almost zero stability for me.
