Unlike all the other pairs of Asics (granted they have been running shoes) I've owned over the last decade, this particular style of tennis shoe hurts. I'm not the only one who finds this to be the case. The forefront of the shoe bends into the foot, and I cannot image that any amount of breaking in will solve the problem. I have run about 250 miles so far on my current pair of Gel-Pulse 2. Very little wear so far. The sole is sturdy and keeps its form for quite awhile. I highly prefer ASICS as its the only shoe brand I've run with that I'm not prone to injuries. This is my 5th pair of ASICS (also used the gel cumulus and gel nimbus in the past).
